Beyond The Door specializes in improving problem behaviours that interfere with family life, school learning and socializing. Our services are not limited to children with neuro-developemntal disorders.
If your child's challenging behaviours are interfering with your family, school or social life - we can help.
By analyzing the function of the behaviour we are able to implement strategies to modify/eradicate undesirable behaviour and increase desired behaviour. This service includes parent/family training and/or 1:1 coaching.
Complementary CONSULTATION
Beyond The Door offers a free consultation in the comfort of your home to discuss our services and to make a preliminary assessment of your child’s needs.

Behaviour Management Intervention
Behaviour Management through Functional Analysis. Undesirable behaviour almost always comes in the way of learning and socializing as well as potentially being dangerous to the child, those around him, or to the environment. The first step, after ensuring that the child, those around him and the environment are safe, is to determine the FUNCTION of the behaviour.
All behaviour has at least one function; behaviour does not occur "out of the blue" or without reason. Studying the behaviour Scientifically is the only way to establish what the functions are in various settings/situations to determine the most appropriate and effective way to intervene.
Relationship building and language based play activities, teach children vital social skills required to communicate and cooperate with others.
Our Teaching techniques set children up for success and promote healthy and positive self esteem.
Natural Environment Teaching techniques generalize learned skills and behaviours.
ABLLS-R and VB-MAPP assessments are a guide for program development. The Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills (The ABLLS) is a comprehensive skills-based system of assessment, curriculum, and tracking system that addresses the basic language and functional skills of an individual with autism and other developmental delays.
The Assessment is used as a tool to help develop customized curriculums (program plans) to teach language and other critical skills to children with autism or other developmental disabilities.
Consistent monitoring and Supervision by a Program Manager/ Senior Therapist and Clinical Director (BCBA) ensures learning progress. BCBA Consultation/Program Supervision is provided on-site or by remote access with all recommendations written up and provided. This service is provided on an as-needed basis for parent/caregiver driven programs.
We collaborate with auxiliary service providers such as Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists or Schools as requested and necessary.
Practicing standards
Beyond The Door Behaviour Associates offers Best Practice Standards, year round individualized programs based on the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis and Skinner’s analysis of Verbal Behaviour and is bound by the BACB.
